Donald Cummings (Blue Haven Capital) Says:

I had the opportunity to hear one of the attorneys from COF speak at a conference co-sponsored by the Association of Small Foundations in New York in 2007. I believe everyone there expected the information to be useful but dry. Contrary to what we anticipated, the presentation was extremely entertaining, very useful, and questions went well beyond the alloted time frame for the session. Information covered ranged from trustee fiduciary duty to the employment of family members by family foundations. He covered grant giving guidelines, tax exemption, IPS creation, and mission investing. COF and ASF offer amazing resources for their members and I continue to be impressed by both.
